This is our storyboard for the opening of the film we will me making. We wanted to make sure that our opening scene consisted of different types of shots including, medium close ups, two shots and shot reverse shots to ensure that we can have diversity of shots. We had some difficulty in drawing the different types of angle such as the 180 degree rule and low angled shots, so instead we wrote the type of shots that would be used so we know what we need to include in the shots with the movements of the characters and the angle. Also we made note on the shots and side of shots with the props we will be including and also taking note of when we need to concentrate on the continuity of the shots following through. We are going to try to keep to the storyboard as close as we possibly can on the day of shooting, but we will need to see these ideas in each shot work, and also if the shot is not really working out to well, we will need to see what could be done to make the shot better by using a different angle movements and thinking about the edits on the day of shooting that will link in with the shot. That will give us a general idea of what we want to achieve, and how to follow it easily.
I think the storyboard shows that we have used out location to its full potential, as we are using the outside of the house as well as the inside of the location, using them both together makes the ever so important with each other as it gives a feel to the film at the beginning, by showing the setting of the film straight away, and where about's it is being filmed. It also shows the main characters home, which shows the audience the realism of the type of film introducing the character by the mise en scene. The storyboard also includes the lighting we shall be using which is very important as we will be introducing the lighting in the first few minutes of the film.
