Character Profiles

In the opening credits of out film, we are only going to be introducing two characters which will be featured as the main ones in the duration of the film. We wanted our characters to follow the typical stereotype in Romantic Comedies, but still giving them a unique twist to add to our film.

The main character in our film is a female called Zoey Hoilday (25), a journalist writing for a new magazine in the fashion industry. Zoey is a workaholic, who lives for her job and works extremely hard to achieve the best she can do in her career. She has unfortunately never been lucking with relationships and love, and this has taken a toll upon her life. When Zoey feels like she has found the “Mr Right” the relationship always has a turn for the worst. She is a hopeless romantic, and is known to always wear her heart on her sleeve but unfortunately leading to the worst of getting her heart broken.

Zoey’s best friend Donna May (27) again a female is the complete opposite to the workaholic. Donna is unemployed who doesn’t have the passion to thrive in the working area, she is known to be bubbly and have a loud personality. A women who is always up for a good time, never lets her friend down when a man has crushed her. She is not afraid to put her point across to someone, and unlike Zoey she doesn’t care about finding that special someone she doesn’t want to settle down as to her living your life comes first.

Costumes-

Zoey Hoilday- Smart, sensible and conservative.

Work Clothes- Casual/smart dress- Blouse, skirts, tights, posh shoes.

House Clothes- Very casual- Baggy tops, joggers, Pj’s.

The costumes we are going to use are representing the type of character she is as being professional and hard working. Shown by the smartness of her work clothes. However when Zoey is at home, her dress sense changes dramatically and a complete opposite side of her is shown the lazy, relaxed her comes out. The stress and strain of work is disappearing and the “Perfect Worker” has been taken away but the comfort of sweats and lounge clothes.

Donna May- Short skirts, small tops, tight revealing clothing.

Shown as having a lot of flesh on show, to get attention from males legs or boobs on show. Representing that she likes to seek attention, but it also seen as a party animal due to her dress sense, always up for a good time. Her clothes are usually colourful, connoting her loud personality.
