27th Febuary Media Lesson
Unfortunately today in our Media lesson we didn't have the camera, as we leant it to Kelly and Louise at the weekend after we finished filming our shots and they forgot to bring it in. Therefore our footage could not be converted for us to finish off our editing process in adding the extra footage. So instead we finished doing the credits to our opening scene and added in our insitutions for the film.
New Script
Donna: You are so depressing Zoey.
Zoey: Why can't I find my Mr Right?
Donna: Just stop looking and be like me, I'm still having fun in life.
Zoey: But I want to settle down my wild child days are over, and all my relationships have ended in tears. I just want to be happy.

Extra Filming 25th Febuary
We did some more shooting of much needed footage to add to the scenes in our opening. Before we even started filming we sat down together and planned out all the footage we needed and kept a log of shots that we wanted to make. We also made our new script for the conversation between our two characters as we needed to make it longer. We managed to get all the footage we needed with time to spare. We got the much needed action shot of Zoey when Donna walks through the door, entering to the conversation. We also re-shot Donna's enterance walking to the house and up to the stairs. We managed to get re do many shots that we had previously as we remembered to keep within the 180 degree rule and widened our range of different camera movements and camera angles. We also remembered to keep with the continuity making sure that all props, clothing, scenery, hair and make up were all used in the same way when we first started filming; so the audience would never know that we had to film on two seperate days. We faced no problelms whilst filming which made the filming process a great success.
Fonts
These are some of the fonts that we are thinking of using on the text for our opening credits. The typography of the writting is very girly and shows femininity with the use of italics on the writing. The writing stands out and is quite busy, so we want the colours of the writing to be simple so the opening credits doesn't look like too much in going on when running through.
The second typography is what we are planning to use for the writing it is very girly and has a fun fitted theme of a romantic comedy, showing the theme of this film is going to be very fun and flirtatious. This stars dotted on the "I" on the font gives off a youthful effect which will link in within the target audience.

Copyright
We emailed Regina Spektors management company a few weeks ago to ask if we could use her song "Two Birds" in our Romantic Comedy opening scene. As a group it was a long deliberation to find a song that we all agreed on and one that will also fit the theme of the scene, after listening to many songs we finally came to the decision to use this up lifting song, sticking to the fresh theme throughout. But unfortunately after waiting for an email back from her management we thought that we were cutting time a little fine with deadlines approaching and no response back. We decided to arrange a meeting and have a look on youtube to see if we could find a brilliant cover of the song, we emailed a young female asking if we could use her version of the song Two Birds. Here is a copy of the email we sent asking if she would mind the use of the song featured in the scene. We soon got a response back, and straight away got to fitting the song along with the opening scene.

Pictures
This is the costumes that we used on the day of filming, as you can see by the items of clothing we used the characters different personalities are shown correctly and a strong difference can be seen, which is what we wanted to portray.
A few pictures of us filming during the day, we thought taking a some images of us shooting the footage would show how we got the different camera shots that are very effective in our opening scene.
Extra Filming
We are needing to improve of opening scene so we can enable a higher grade than we are currently at, we are having to add a few more shots to show the diversity and a few improvements towards current shots that we have already used. At the beginning of the opening scene we need an establishing shot of the scenery where the rest of the scene is about to take place, this would be the fields around the location we are shooting at. This is a very normal element to have in a movie as it shows the audience where the film is set. Also we need a shot of the character driving into the house, adding to the establishing shot, we may have some difficulties with the car shot so we have extras on hand that will be able to help us create the shot we need. When our second character is shown in the opening scene, we need to improve the enterance that is made into the house possibly adding a shot of the character walking through the front door or out of the car onto the driveway. We are hoping to create this with the same way our first character enters the house, representing the friendship between the two. A new shot of the second character will also be shot, of her walking up the stairs adding to the shot we already have of the characters feet walking up the stairs, but we need to reshoot this shot as the balance of the feet is not correct, so we had to cut the shot just unfortuantly there is a jump making the camera flow look unsteady. We also need to add to the dialogue of the two characters in the bedroom, and create a better ending to the opening scene as at the moment it just cuts off in the rough cut.
Logos
Here are some examples of logo's that we have been making for our studio priduction. We wanted to portray our studio as very professional, but at the same time show casing that it is a fun and light hearted production company. Linking in with the opening scene we are filming. The use of the feminine colours, such as red, pinks and light blues as we wanted to keep in with representing the theme we wish to portray.
Here is our final design for the log we are going to use. We did realise that keeping with the red, is only appealing to the female audience and in future movies tha audience would decrease because of this error, but we thought that it was sutiable for the audiences we are currently aiming our film towards. We kept the typography the same as the first logo, as we thought it would work well against the background and be stand out well even though it is plain and simple. The image we have used is very iconic, for filming production film reel and again iconic for movies.
